Ipad stuck on apple logo just keeps restarting either on black or white background and will not boot up. Tried many things before i found the fix so thought i would list them to help others in this situation with Error code: 9, 4005, 4013, 4014. by Computer Logic. First off if its a original apple screen you will not need to remove the screen. If its a non original apple screen or has been replaced you will need to remove the screen but not straight away. Make sure the Ipad is in recovery mode by holding power button and home button for three seconds then releasing power button while still holding the home button for another ten seconds. If this does not work to get into recovery mode then wait till Ipad restarts then press power button and home button together repeatedly until Ipad goes into recovery mode. Now take the screen off (if its a non original apple screen.) Plug original apple cable into Computer or Mac and then into Ipad, launch Itunes and try "update" if you do not want to lose your files and pictures. If update does not work then try "update and restore" (factory reset). You may have to do it a couple of times to boot it out of its restart loop then it should boot up like brand new.
Here are steps for quick guide:
- Get Ipad in Recovery mode (follow steps above)
- Take screen off if non original apple screen.
- Plug official apple cable (third party cables WILL NOT WORK) into Computer or Mac then into Ipad.
- Launch Itunes then "update" Ipad (keeps all files) or "update and restore" if you have no restore it restores to factory default settings may have to do it a couple of times but have faith.
